A 2m x 10m wall is roughly plastered and requires stone pebble washout finish. Estimate the materials.

Concrete Volume method:

Determine the wall area:

$Area_{wall}=2.0m\left ( 10.0m \right )=20.0m^{2}$

Assuming the desired thickness of the pebbles is 12mm,

$Vol_{pebbles}=20.0m^{2}\left ( 0.012m \right )=0.24m^{3}$

From Concrete Volume Table:

$Cement=0.24m^{3}\left ( 18 \right )=4.32\simeq {\color{Red} \mathbf{5bags\left ( 40kg \right )}}$

$Pebbles=0.24m^{3}\left ( 1.0 \right )={\color{Red} \mathbf{0.24m^{3}}}$

Factor method:

$Cement=20m^{2}\left ( 0.216 \right )=4.32\simeq {\color{Red} \mathbf{5bags\left ( 40kg \right )}}$

$Pebbles=20m^{2}\left ( 0.012 \right )={\color{Red} \mathbf{0.24m^{3}}}$
