Estimate the wall footing as shown on the plans. CHB thickness is 4" embedded two layers under the ground. Thickness of wall footing is 0.10m. Use class A mixture.

The only given dimension for the wall footing is its thickness = 0.10m. The other dimensions of the wall footing will be standardized (check configuration) from the CHB thickness, that is, the width of the wall footing will be computed as:

$width_{wallftg}=2\left ( 0.10m \right )=0.20m$

$clear span=4.0-2\left ( \frac{0.30m}{2} \right )=3.70m$

$length_{wallftg}=2\left ( 3.70m \right )7.40m$

Volume method:

$Vol_{wallftg}=0.20m\left ( 0.10m \right )\left ( 7.40m \right )=0.148m^{3}$

$Cement=0.148m^{3}\left ( 9.0 \right )=1.332\simeq {\color{Red} \mathbf{2bags}}$

$Sand=0.148m^{3}\left ( 0.50 \right )={\color{Red} \mathbf{0.074m^{3}}}$

$Gravel=0.148m^{3}\left ( 1.0 \right )={\color{Red} \mathbf{0.148m^{3}}}$

Per meter length method: The minimal size of wall footing is 10 x 30. The actual wall footing size is 10 x 20cm. So per meter length method is not applicable.
