Estimate the materials needed for the beams and girder as shown. Use class A mixture with 40kg cement bag.

Starting with girders:

$Length_{girder}=2\left ( 25m \right )=50m$

Using the table for 40m x 60m class A.

Cement = 2.160
Sand = 0.120
Gravel = 0.240

   $Cement=2.16\left ( 50m \right )=108 bags$

   $Sand=0.120\left ( 50m \right )=6m^{3}$

   $Gravel=0.240\left ( 50m \right )=12m^{3}$

Next, the beams:

The clear length will be the beam length less half the width the girders.
      $Length_{beams}=5\left [ 10m-2\left ( 0.20m \right ) \right ]=48m$

From the Linear Meter Table, determine coefficients for class A with 25m x 40m.

Cement = 0.900
Sand = 0.050
Gravel = 0.100

   $Cement=0.900\left ( 48m \right )=43.20\simeq 44bags$

   $Sand=0.050\left ( 48m \right )=2.40m^{3}$

   $Gravel=0.100\left ( 48m \right )=4.80m^{3}$

Summarize materials:

$Cement=108+44={\color{Red} \mathbf{152bags}}$

$Sand= 6+2.40=8.40\simeq {\color{Red} \mathbf{8.50m^{3}}}$

$Gravel= 12+4.80=16.80\simeq {\color{Red} \mathbf{17m^{3}}}$
