EXAMPLE 4.7.1. ESTIMATING CEMENT TILES ON REGULAR SHAPED FLOOR

Determine the number of 0.20m x 0.20m cement tiles required for a 7.0m x 9.0m office room using class B mortar mixture.


By Unit Measure Method: This is similar to the fundamental method in CHB layout.


             

             





Mortar: Cement tiles are similar with terrazzo in installation, so volume of mortar will be computed as the sand requirement. So the from the Terrazo tiles table, the volume will become:
