2.9. ESTIMATING CIRCULAR COLUMNS

Circular columns are often used for aesthetic reasons. Design of reinforcement is different from the standard square or rectangular shapes but estimating the concrete proportions has the same procedure. Circular columns can be estimated using:

• The volume method 
• The linear meter method
