The Association of Structural Engineers in the Philippines (ASEP) modified and updated the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) recently to properly design structure against earthquakes. In simple words, the 2015 edition of the NSCP is for Earthquake preparedness.
This course of Lateral Load Analysis will cover the derivation of the base shear using the different parameters as stated in 2015 NSCP and also further analysis of the horizontal load distributed on each floor.
